Raised On Country - The Story

In the summer of 2024, I found myself standing in Hyde Park, London, surrounded by tens of thousands of fans at the BST Morgan Wallen concert. The energy was electric. It was more than just a gig, it was a turning point. The crowd, the music, the atmosphere, it all confirmed what I had been feeling for a while: Country music was no longer just an American story. It was growing roots right here in the UK.

I built this brand to create something real. No gimmicks. No shortcuts. Just honest, workwear inspired pieces crafted with skill and intention. I am a family man from the Chiltern Hills, raised to believe that hard work, craftsmanship and doing things properly still matter. I have always made my living with my hands, and this brand is a reflection of that same respect for quality. When the day is done, you will find me by the fire with a sip of whiskey and a country song playing, grateful for simple things made well.

Leather is at the heart of everything I do. We source from Britain’s oldest and most respected tanneries, including A A Crack and Sons, where hides are vegetable tanned using traditions that bring strength, depth and character you simply cannot imitate. Every belt is hand cut, hand finished and shaped here in the Chiltern Hills. You can feel the hours of work in every edge, every burnish and every detail.

Across the water, our buckles are forged in North Carolina by a small family workshop with Scottish roots reaching back to the 1640s. They have been crafting leather goods, guitar straps and buckles for generations, supplying musicians, riders and everyday country folk who value pieces built with pride. Their craftsmanship and our leather come together to form a bond between two places that share the same spirit of music, freedom and honest work.

Everything I make is workwear inspired and crafted for the modern cowboy. It is built for people who work with their hands, live close to the land, stand by their word and take pride in what they wear. Our pieces are not fashion statements. They are companions for long days, late nights, open roads, fireside moments and the quiet satisfaction of earning your place in the world.

British leather. American craftsmanship. Honest work. Whiskey nights. Freedom.

This is Raised on Country. A way of life, built to last.

I Was Hooked

I dove in headfirst. I signed up for courses, studied the tools, spent months learning the craft. I made plenty of mistakes along the way. Our office quickly turned into a workshop full of cutoffs, half-finished buckles, failed stamps, and late-night trial runs. But through the mess, I was building something real.

Months later, with worn hands and full hearts, I finally held our first finished belt. Made from premium cowhide leather, each one carries the ROC stamp and features our signature horse emblem, a nod to the freedom, power, and spirit of the open range.

Raised On Country isn’t just a brand. It’s our story. It’s your story.

It’s for the folks who find peace in wide open spaces and power in a good lyric. For those who live for the rodeo one weekend and the local pub the next. For anyone who feels like Country isn’t just a genre, it’s a way of life.

So whether you're from the heart of Texas or the hills of the Chilterns, if you were Raised On Country, you're one of us.
