This first release pays tribute to the Hayden Geological Survey of 1871, the legendary expedition that mapped and immortalised Yellowstone. Led by geologist Ferdinand V. Hayden, the team included painters, photographers, and explorers whose work helped create the world’s first national park. It was a pivotal moment in time, when raw wilderness met scientific curiosity, and when America first chose to preserve rather than conquer.

Our inspiration came from those early trailblazers, rugged, romantic, and wildly determined. They carried maps in canvas satchels, rode hard through unsettled lands, and wore gear that bore the mark of every mile. The Frontier Collection honours that era, not just in name, but in build, detail, and spirit.

The Leather: Modern Craft, Timeless Character

For this debut drop, we’ve chosen something exceptional,Tortoise leather from Newbury Leathers. It’s a full grain, USA-tanned, hot-waxed hide that mirrors the very textures and tones of the old frontier. Think canyon earth, dry grasslands, and the polished reins of a saddle left out in the sun.

Unlike stamped or corrected leathers, this one is naturally tumbled, resulting in a grain that’s rich with pebble variation and pull-up depth. When bent or worn, the colour shifts and spreads like cracking firewood, bold, raw, alive.

The Bourbon Brown tone in this collection is especially vibrant, with a rugged contrast between light and dark that evokes maps burnt at the edges or boots dusted after a long ride. No two pieces are the same, the markings are as unique as the person who wears it.
